FUEL/WATER SEPARATOR FOR CUMMINS ENGINES


This bulletin introduces a new fuel/water separator for Cummins engines. Cummins engines develop pressure pulses in the fuel system that may weaken the canister material of the fuel filter or fuel/water separator. Hastings Filters, Inc. offers the FF898 as the fuel/water separator for Cummins engine applications. The FF898 incorporates a thicker canister than the previously listed FF834 fuel/water separator. The thicker canister of the FF898 diminishes the possibility of canister failure on these applications. An added feature of the FF898 is the patented all metal, self venting drain valve. This improved drain valve eases the water draining operation. The FF898 fuel/water separator canister is the same thickness as that of the FF1008 fuel filter. The FF898 fuel/water separator should be used as the optional fuel/water separator on all applications listing the FF1008 fuel filter and all Cummins applications previously listing the FF834 as the fuel/water separator.
