Improved Hastings Fuel/Water Separators

Hastings Filters, Inc. is introducing improved fuel/water separators to the product line. These new fuel/water separators incorporate a design that eliminates the need of a two piece installation. The heavy-duty all metal housing provides increased burst and pulse-withstanding strength while eliminating the risk of plastic bowl failure. Drain and drain/sensor port (SP) versions are available.

The drain on these products is a patented all metal self-venting drain valve that eliminates the need to separately vent the fuel system prior to draining, while adding strength and ease of service. Eighty-eight percent less torque is required to open and close the valves on these filters as compard to some competitors’ filters with plastic valves.

The products that utilize a sensor port allow the installation of the OEM water sensor directly into the filter.
The introduction of these new filters will obsolete some of the fuel/water separator part numbers that required the use of the plastic bowl. Below is a list of some of the obsolete numbers and their replacements.
