IMPROVED PAN GASKET FOR HASTINGS | |

Hastings Filters, Inc. is pleased to introduce the new ULTRACORK pan gaskets now supplied with our transmission filters.
ULTRACORK gasket material offers advantages over other gasket materials such as better conformability to flange irregularities, fluid resistance in load-intense areas, and resistance to brittleness caused by high heat. The ULTRACORK gaskets remain pliable even after 600 hours of thermal shock testing. The thermal shock testing cycles the test temperatures from -40° F to 300° F while the sealing capacities of the gasket are tested on a vibration stand. Look for the new ULTRACORK gaskets in your future orders of Hastings transmission filters. |
Other advantages to the ULTRACORK gaskets are:
· Improved Torque Retention - The reduction in the percentage of cork and the change in granule size has resulted in a material that retains torque similar to paper products which generally have the best torque retention. · Improved Sealability - The added rubber gives ULTRACORK improved sealability over standard cork rubber material. · Improved Installation - The smaller holes of the new gaskets will hold the bolts in place. This allows the installer to position the pan and be confident that the gasket is in the proper location. · Thread Sealing - The small holes will keep oil from migrating down the threads. This prevents leakage from under the bolt heads. |
